Bare Metal Standard is a commercial facility service company. We provide risk assessment and risk mitigation services to the commercial cooking operations in the form of kitchen exhaust hood cleaning. This cleaning is provided as fire safety services to protect lives and livelihoods.
As fire codes have been developed over the years, commercial cooking operations have been one of the highest risks for any commercial facility. Fires occur when you have all three elements: heat / oxygen / fuel. In kitchen exhaust systems, all three are present at all times with the fuel being the grease.
Grease is a natural byproduct of cooking operations and with collect throughout the exhaust system. Fire codes were then developed to help guide the industry to best practices on how and when this grease needed to be removed.
Bare Metal Standard began servicing kitchen exhaust systems for fire safety before any fire
codes required it. Working directly with commercial cooking facility owners who identified a
need to reduce the risk of fire, we began our efforts in 1964.
